St. Charles Wine Festival - La Fête du Vin: FAQ

  1. Is the event open to all ages? Yes, the festival is open to the public. However, only those 21 and older are allowed to sample or purchase alcoholic beverages.

  2. Do I need to purchase a ticket to attend the festival? No, tickets are not required to attend the festival. However, if you are over 21 and wish to participate in wine sampling or purchasing, you will need to purchase a ticket.

  3. How do I purchase a ticket for wine tasting? Tickets can be purchased online through PayPal. There are no physical tickets; we will use the PayPal report for check-in.

  4. What happens at check-in? Check-in will begin promptly at 3 PM at 1121 North 2nd St, at the Frenchtown Heritage Museum (next to Good News Brewery). During check-in, we will verify your ID for age and provide you with a wristband and a souvenir glass. Remember, no wristband means no wine tasting or same-day consumption purchases.

  5. Where can I park? Attendee parking is available at 49 Lawrence St.

  6. Will there be food available at the event? Yes, food will be available for purchase from various vendors during the festival.

  7. Can I buy wine at the festival? Yes, you can purchase glasses or bottles of wine directly from the vendors. However, you must have a wristband to purchase wine for same-day consumption.

  8. What if it rains? The festival will proceed rain or shine, so please come prepared with appropriate attire like an umbrella or rain jacket.

  9. Can I bring my own food or drinks? No outside food or alcoholic beverages are allowed. Food and beverages will be available for purchase on-site.

  10. What forms of payment are accepted? It's recommended to bring cash and a card, as most vendors will accept both. PayPal is also used for purchasing tickets.

  11. What is the dress code for the event? The event is casual, and since it's outdoors, we recommend wearing comfortable and weather-appropriate clothing.

  12. How does my ticket purchase benefit the community? Proceeds from ticket sales directly support the French Sister Cities, helping fund their programs and initiatives.

  13. What should I bring to the festival? Bring a valid ID for age verification if you plan to sample wines. Consider bringing sunscreen, a hat, and comfortable walking shoes.

  14. How do I learn more about the wines being offered? Information about the wines available for tasting will be provided at the event, and you can speak with vendors directly for more details.
